I’m fortunate to fly first class often (when you fly over 100,000 miles a year upgrades are a nice luxury), but I’ve mastered the art of creating a first-class experience in coach and you can too.
Here are a few tips to help you fly even friendlier skies.
Banish dry skin
This is a killer on a long flight. I obsessively collect travel sizes of my fave products (hello Tata Harper) to help combat dryness the entire flight. I also keep a supply of do TERRA roll-ons to keep germs away (thank goodness for OnGuard) and Naturopathica serums.
I hate bad plane beverages. The reality is that most are either too sugary, too bland, or too over brewed for my liking. I like to bring an assortment of Clipper Tea or ginger tea (my fave from China).
My pre-flight Whole Foods run is a must. When I’m leaving Europe I love shopping local stores for quality snacks. You know the food isn’t going to be great in flight so avoid at all costs! Cool bonus: No extra bloating from sodium filled food!
Yes, yes, and yes. It’s rare you get a blanket in-flight these days, and planes can be breeding grounds for germs and colds. I love big comfy scarves that double as blankets like this Eileen Fisher Plaid Fringe Hem Wrap or this Rag + Bone Double-Faced Marino Wool Reversible Poncho and also bring extra socks.
Supplement the experience
I always have my vitamins, probiotics, digestives and magnesium with me. Curaphen is my go-to for fighting inflammation and pain relief (without the harshness of stronger pain relievers).
Netflix, Texture, and chill.
Download all of your faves pre-flight to make sure you’re entertained whether the plane has entertainment or not (other passengers can be QUITE entertaining but I prefer Law & Order!). Make sure your devices are charged and power chords are stored in your bag under your seat. I have a tiny Tumi bag full of chargers, USBs, and converters that I can always get to.
Disinfect in style.
I don’t even want to think about the germs! I pack several Herban Essentials wipes and do a quick sweep as soon as I board.
Here’s hoping you have many, many enjoyable flights in your future! ?
